Transformative funding:

Cumbria Yoga Foundation to appoint first Director

Cumbria Yoga Foundation Awarded National Lottery Funding to Appoint First Director and Expand Community Wellbeing Work .

Cumbria Yoga Foundation is thrilled to announce it has been awarded £19,380 from The National Lottery Community Fund to create its first ever paid Director role, a key milestone in the charity’s growth and mission to bring yoga to every community in Cumbria.

The funding will enable the charity to appoint a dedicated leader to drive its vision of a healthier, happier, kinder, more connected Cumbria, making yoga and wellbeing accessible to people of all ages and backgrounds, particularly those who may face health, cultural, systemic, or economic barriers.

The new Director will be responsible for expanding programmes, strengthening partnerships, and ensuring the long-term sustainability of the organisation. They will also play a vital role in building connections with local communities, government bodies, and partner organisations to deliver inclusive, high-quality yoga and wellbeing programmes across the county.

"This is a truly transformative step for our charity. With a Director in place, we’ll have the capacity and leadership to reach more people, offer more programmes, and deepen our impact. We’re deeply grateful to The National Lottery Community Fund and to everyone who plays The National Lottery for making this possible."
